About

indigo4music.com is dedicated to the celebration and promotion of quality live music in Melbourne. We believe that Melbourne produces world-class musicians and groups. We want it to stay that way.

To help it along, we’ve produced a gig guide, which we update every week with the main gigs and venues in inner Melbourne. We’ve been producing a newsletter, which will now take on more of a blog format. Our focus will remain the same however, which is to include the newsy stuff, but also to dig deeper, and produce interviews of some of the more interesting identities around town, and more in-depth reviews of the best music produced locally (and overseas).

Who are we?

We are a predominently young group of musicians and music-lovers. We are interested in communicating with anybody who has something interesting to say in the music scene. The characters involved are…

Alex aka Zander, who is responsible for the gig guide, making sure that all the really important stuff is included so that it’s only a few clicks to work out what you are going to see tonight… or next week.

Louise, trombonist, and writer for indigo4music. Louise plays with Wilu, and other bands around town, and is studying Jazz Improvisation at the VCA. You can find out about Louise at her myspace, her facebook, or at a site dedicated to Understanding Trombonists.

Tiff, who represents 90% of the common-sense in indigo4music.com. Tiff is studying Commerce-Science at Monash (very sensible).

Ronnie, writer and editor for indigo4music. Recruiter and organiser of indigo’s assorted contributors. And all round chiller.

Tacey, writer for indigo4music, who writes about festivals, and interviews anything that moves. Tacey is on sabbatical in Africa and will be updating us about all the excellent music happening on the other side of the world!

Eitan, with 1.5 degrees of separation from everybody in the world. Eitan has just returned from doing good deeds (we think) in Israel.

Will, who plays guitar, flute, and does stuff for indigo4music.com. Will also plays with Wilu, as well as Hannah and The Public Display of Rhythm and Gecko.

Will #2, our technical wiz-kid, who is doing great stuff with the web site with Dave, our design guru.

Steve, who is there somewhere in the background and makes everything happen.
