Rudely Interrupted are one of Australias truly unique indie rock acts. 5 out of the 6 members share a range of both physical and intellectual disabilities (Blindness, Deafness, Aspergers, Autism and Down Syndrome) but most importantly, a common interest in self expression through music. Their achievements, both personal and professional to date are extraordinary.
With a sound likened to Joy Division having a Gary Numan party while eating pitch perfect cookies, this band will challenge your thoughts and entertain your mind with their infectious hooks.
Following a successful world tour and the subjects of an upcoming eponymous ABC1 rocumentary, ‘Rudely Interrupted’ have put together a massive show to celebrate in true rock style at the Corner. Over the past 8 months the band have written and recorded a bunch of new tunes for their debut album ‘Tragedy of the Commons’ due out March 2010. A guy in a big red suit (Santa) will be giving away pre-release copies throughout the night so get in early.
