The 2010 Laneway Festival lineup has been announced, and it heralds a return to form for the recently struggling festival. After a few years of controversy – overcrowding; entry delays; and other organisational issues – several cult big names have been included in the first release lineup for next year, coups which Laneway no doubt is relying on to reinvigorate its reputation as a grade A festival.
The first round lineup includes:
Post-punk heroes Echo & The Bunnymen will headline
Echo & The Bunnymen, Florence and The Machine, Black Lips, The XX, Daniel Johnston, Sarah Blasko, N.A.S.A, Eddy Current Suppression Ring, Hockey, Dappled Cities, Mumford and Sons, Radio Clit, The Very Best, Wild Beasts, Whitely, The Middle East, Kid Sam, Dirty Three (Melbourne only).
